Nos han vendido el progreso como la religión imperial. Nos han dicho que la tecnología resolvería todos nuestros problemas. Era mentira. Lo primero nos lleva hacia el acantilado del desastre ambiental, lo segundo hacia escenarios de control y poder absoluto.
No es plato de buen gusto ser portador de malas noticias. Pero son las que son. Hemos llegado a un punto que no tendrá retorno y si no enmendamos la dirección lo que encontremos no nos gustará nada.
Por otra parte nadie puede imaginar lo que está a punto de emerger. Hemos recibido visiones y sueños pero lo que viene es mucho más grande de lo que podemos concebir. Por eso necesitamos más poetas, locos e iluminados que traduzcan a un lenguaje entendible esos augurios.
Las modernas distracciones globales parecen intentar que la atención social descanse en asuntos alejados de lo que verdaderamente lo merece. La causa de que el mundo esté en llamas radica en la decisión de incontables sujetos de dilapidar dicha atención. Encontrar narrativas que pongan el foco en lo verdaderamente importante es un reto para esta sociedad. La poesía puede ayudarnos en esa empresa al permitirnos grados de libertad que la prosa no ofrece.
Dante fue un valiente por atreverse a cartografiar la sombra en verso. Bajar a los infiernos es fácil, lo complicado es salir de ellos y contarlo. Repetir esa gesta en nuestro tiempo es igual de arriesgado, uno pude quedarse pegado a la sombra o ver su oscuro mensaje rechazado. Seguimos su estela y lo que nos encontramos es a la vez viejo y nuevo, esperado y sorprendente. Pero debemos recordar que la facultad más valiosa de los seres humanos no es su inteligencia sino su capacidad de imaginar lo que no ha visto. Desde ahí es posible visualizar una nueva escatología.
El proyecto Arconte Enfurecido nació de una inspiración que produjo visiones que fueron convertidas en verso durante varias semanas. Lo que surgió produjo un sentimiento de extrañeza en el autor que no se veía reflejado en el texto por lo que fue depositado en un cajón donde permaneció un año. Pasado ese plazo en un nuevo sueño aparecía el poemario a la par que un amigo, lo que animó al autor a contactar con él y compartirle sus dudas. Afortunadamente esa persona aportó lo que en ese momento se necesitaba: confianza. Su ayuda ha sido decisiva para editar e ilustrar la obra.
El proceso de ilustración contó con la participación de Paula Alvear que con paciencia acogió las palabras y orientaciones del autor para crear unas imágenes que dotan la obra del ambiente onírico y expectante que la caracteriza.

La intención del libro es sembrar semillas de reflexión y toma de conciencia que ayuden al lector a rescatar las preguntas que le permitan mirar a sus postrimerías personales. Cada ser humano contiene infierno, cielo y purgatorio, y merece la pena aprender a convivir con ellos.
La obra se ha impreso en una edición limitada en formato cuadrado con papel de calidad de gran gramaje cuyas copias firmadas se pueden conseguir en las presentaciones de la obra o solicitándolas por correo electrónico (info@doctorcasado.es).
Se ha preparado una versión en formato electrónico apta para móviles, tabletas y libros electrónicos, así como otra versión en papel en tamaño normalizado disponibles ambas en el portal de Amazon (a partir del 30 de enero).
Una versión en inglés y otra en francés verán la luz a lo largo del año.

They have sold us progress as the imperial religion. We've been told that technology would solve all our problems. That was a lie. The first leads us to the cliff of environmental disaster, the second to scenarios of control and absolute power.
It's not easy for anyone to be the bearer of bad news. But it is what it is. We have reached a point of no return, and if we do not make amends for what we find, we will not like it at all.
On the other hand no one can imagine what is about to emerge. We have received visions and dreams but what is to come is much greater than we can conceive. That's why we need more poets, madmen and enlightened people to translate these predictions into understandable language.
Modern global distractions seem to be trying to put social attention on issues far removed from what it really deserves. The cause of the world being on fire is the decision of countless subjects to squander such attention. Finding narratives that focus on what is truly important is a challenge for this society. Poetry can help us in that endeavour by allowing us degrees of freedom that prose does not offer.
Dante was courageous in daring to map the shadow in verse. Going down to hell is easy, what is complicated is getting out of it and telling about it. To repeat that feat in our time is just as risky, one could stay stuck in the shadow or see his dark message rejected. We follow its trail and what we find is both old and new, expected and surprising. But we must remember that the most valuable faculty of human beings is not their intelligence but their ability to imagine what they have not seen. From there it is possible to visualize a new eschatology.
The Angry Archon project was born from an inspiration that produced visions that were turned into verse for several weeks. What emerged produced a feeling of strangeness in the author so it was placed in a drawer where it remained for a year. After that time, in a new dream, the book of poems appeared along with a friend, which encouraged the author to contact him and share his doubts. Fortunately, this person contributed what was needed at that moment: trust. His help has been decisive in editing and illustrating the work.
Paula Alvear took part in the illustration process and patiently accepted the author's words and guidelines to create images that give the work the dreamlike and expectant atmosphere that characterizes it.
